Creative Me Month Pictures

Greetings Preschool Families!!

As usual we've been having exciting days here at CCP. The end of winter has been filled with lots of fun for all the preschoolers! Last month we had a "Creative Me" theme that also integrated Dr. Seuss activities. We looked at many ways we can be creative artistically and did lots of fun art projects and crafts. Here are some kids learning how to make paper:

We also looked at a bunch of different artists and tried to practice some of their techniques and create projects inspired by their work. One of the artists we learned about was Georgia O'Keefe. The children loved looking at her beautiful paintings of flowers, and we noticed she painted a lot of poppies. Here we are creating beautiful poppies for a preschool piece of art:

With our Creative Me theme we also explored our creativity with sounds and music. Here are some cuties doing band practice:

 In March we celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, so we made a month out of it and integrated a lot of Dr. Seuss activities into our Creative Me theme. There are so many fun Dr. Seuss books, the children had so much fun exploring many of his books and did many literacy based crafts and activities. In the midst of all of our Creative Me and Dr. Seuss fun we had a pajama themed "Wacky Week" in which we incorporated a lot of fun and wacky-ness. Here are some PJ kids sporting wacky hairstyles!

Now that April is here we've been eagerly waiting for the arrival of spring, but all that we've gotten has been cold, flurries, and lots of mud! But I'll tell you what, the kids don't mind one bit! They love playing outside no matter the weather, and have been going home many days full of mud just like this little sweetie!
