Greetings Families,
We want to give a big thank you to all the help and effort
everybody contributed to the CCP Play Night; it was a huge success! The
costumes turned out wonderful, the singing was great, and the kids put in a lot
of hard work! Good job everyone!!!
It’s hard to believe it’s February already; but along with
February comes a lot of fun. CCP will be hosting a Valentine’s Tea Party on
Thursday, February 14th. This is a fun little party we have where
the preschoolers can invite relatives, friends, and loved ones to celebrate
Valentine’s Day together. The party will be from 10:00am-11:30am, and will
include a small singing program, Valentine’s Day activities, and some
refreshments. Preschoolers will sing on stage at 10:10am and the Valentine activities
will follow. Please RSVP for this event to one of the teachers by Monday,
February 11th.
Along with the Valentine’s Day Tea Party, the preschoolers
will be having a small Valentine’s Day card exchange amongst their small
groups. Please have your child bring in ten Valentine cards signed by them
(they can be store-bought, or homemade). The cards will be submitted into a Valentine’s
Day card lottery so-to-speak where children will pick 10 random cards from a
drawing, so please do not attach candy to the cards. If you would like to
provide candy treats you certainly may just please have them separate from the
cards.
Please remember that we are closed on President’s Day,
Monday, February 18th. CCP will be open the rest of that week. We
are aware that Public Schools will be on break, so let us know if you are going
to be on vacation that week also.
Our themes this month include: Post Office, Valentines,
American History, and Art Appreciation. If you have anything to contribute to
any of these units, please know you are always welcome!
Everyone’s been doing a great job at remembering outside
snow gear, but please remember to return any items that have been borrowed out
to your child for outside play. We have a limited number of mittens/hats/snow
pants to lend out, and need them to be at school. (We also love clothing
donations of any kind!)
