Summer Camp

Hello Everyone,

As you all know this was my first year teaching at Congdon Creek Preschool. That means that this is my first year working summer camp. It also means that this is my first year as a parent of a kid attending summer camp. I ran across some things that I found to be note-worthy today on the first day of camp that I thought was worth mentioning.

Firstly: Camp Hours are 8:00am-4:00pm. Extended hours are available, but only if you sign up ahead of time. MaryJo is in charge of summer hours so you can either sign up at school or you can get her phone number from a teacher.

Secondly: If your child is eating lunch at Camp, please pack a lunch that does not require heating up. We will be eating picnic-style daily, meaning we will not be in the lunch room. Either outside, or in the yard.

Thirdly: Send sunscreen if your child is going to be whole day.

Fourth: Every kid needs a water bottle.

Lastly: Extra Clothes! Today was the first day of camp and we already went through two pairs of socks, one t-shirt, and we sent a little boy home in girl pants. We don't mind borrowing out clothes, but if each kid has their own set, it would be best.

If anyone has any questions at all, please ask!

Last Week of School

It was a fabulous last week of school where everyone enjoyed a super silly Wacky Week. Tuesday everyone wore stripes and polka dots; Wednesday we had a pajama day where the kids got to come dressed in their pj's, make sprinkle-filled pancakes, and snuggle up and watch a movie; but my favorite day from the week has to be Thursday: costume day! There's nothing more cute than a preschooler in a costume, and everyone went all out. We did a costume fashion show where the kids got to show off their cool clothes, and then we went on a costume parade outside...we really should have gone trick-or-treating. Here are some of my favorite pictures from costume day:

Here's Sam unleashing his super-spiderman web shooting skills:

Here is everyone paying attention to the fashion show:

Anthony and Cooper showing their cool tough-guy faces:

Here's Margot and Della showing some sass:

Kingston and Eli flexin' their muscles:

I already know the answer to this, but seriously...what is cuter than Gray in a Captain America costume?

Chelsea, Leah, Leah, and Sophie O:

Lyssa, looking sweeter than honey:

And this picture isn't from costume day, but I thought it was super cute so here you go. Krista and Sophia in their proper playground accessories, shades and a fan:

See you all this summer!
