I'll start with the important information:
Our Winter Play Date has been CHANGED! The Winter Play will now be Sunday, January 26th from 3:00-5:00pm. The Winter Play is going to be The Lorax. Information about costumes will be sent home within the next couple weeks, but incase you want to get a head start on putting together a "Lorax" costume, here are some suggestions: Your costume can be anything that has to do with the movie The Lorax.
-a Barbaloot (a.k.a. cute little bears who love marshmallows)
-a Thneedville citizen (think wacky hair, bright colors, etc.)
-the Lorax himself.
Your child's costume certainly does not have to be something listed above. Please be creative! And if you need a little inspiration, I would recommend reading The Lorax book with your child and have them decide what they want to be!
And now I have for you some fun preschool pictures that were taken the last week before holiday break:
We love volunteers! Chelsea's grandma volunteered for an entire morning the day of our holiday program. She was so great with the kids, and she {hopefully} had a LOT of fun! Here she is reading to the children:
And here are some sweet girls doing some cozy reading in the "warming shack" that was setup in the big room:
And here is Averi's mom, Lindsey saving the day by occupying the preschoolers by reading to them moments before their holiday program:
And finally here is our good CCP friend, Santa, surprising everyone with a visit to their holiday program. He surely loved the children's songs!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! I know many of you took some looooooong car trips that I'm sure imprinted some life-lasting memories for your family! I can speak for myself when I say I've missed all your children and believe it or not, am eager to get back to preschool!
See you soon,
Ms. Jakki
