St. Patrick's Day Pics

Hi there!!

I have some fun St. Patrick's Day pictures to share with you all. If you've been attending CCP in years past, you know how fun St. Patty's Day can be around here; but for those of you who are new, I proudly introduce, The Leprechaun. The Leprechaun visits the preschoolers precisely once a year on a day where he runs around the school playing funny little tricks on everyone. This year he helped himself to our snack cupboard, rummaged through the show-and-shares, tipped over all the tables and chairs, turned our food funny colors, tee-peed the kids who fell asleep at naptime, all while leaving a remarkable trail of shiny shamrocks behind him. The kids eventually got sick of all the Leprechaun's tricks and decided to go on a hunt to find him. They didn't catch him....they ALMOST did....but he got away. He left us candy though, so in our world things were set pretty even. Check out some of the fun in action:

Here's Ms. Elicia reading a clue that the Leprechaun left behind:

How cute is this little Leprechaun Hunter??:

And here's Sam checking out a clue:

And of course added to all the hype was the fact that it was also Ms. Patti's birthday! So we topped everything off with rainbow cake. Happy Birthday, Ms. Patti!!!!

I also have for you some cute snapshots from our recent field trip to the downtown Duluth Public Library.

And there you have it. Check back soon for more pictures and updates!

{Conferences} and Other Jazz

Hello There!!

Just a quick reminder that CONFERENCES ARE THIS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. Sign-ups are by the front door, and if one of the time-slots doesn't work for you, the teachers are happy to be flexible and accommodate for whatever you need.

Our "Creative Me" unit is off to a fantastic start! The students have learned about some classic famous artists such as Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh, and have tried out many different types of art, from finger-painting to impressionism. Here are some cool shots we captured last week:

Here are the students re-creating Monet's "The Bridge":

And here are some kids molding with "Air Dough":

Monet's "Water Lilies"

Finger-painting fun!:

Van Gogh's "Sunflowers":

And lastly, here are some pictures from our Dr. Seuss Day. The kids took a break from reading all their Dr. Seuss books to do some fun relays:

Warmest Regards,

Miss Jakki
